Well, minus the very last bit, Bling darling, I think it was awesome.

That's a very, ummm.... Blingwolfish ending, in any case.

Oh the crispy crunchy dry,
The flaky salty toasted taste
A stack, a bag, and I am hungry
Oh the sweet bliss...

But it is not quite perfect,
The salt and crunch need more
So oh, the can I shake and squeeze
Upon my crackers dry...

As I press a second on
I contemplate a third
And make a triple decker
Mmm... I need another.

The can is empty, as is the bag
Content am I for now
The crumbs lie all about
Ahh, my EZ Cheese...

feel the randomness. :P

One Black Rose

One black rose
In a field of red and white
Trying to plant its roots
Searching for the water

One sad rose
Surrounded by happiness
Trying to change its ways
But it's nature is too strong

One lone rose
Seperated by color
Bound to be different
But longing to fit in

i *really* like that one Niralica. just seems like the kind of poem lots of people (incl me) would identify with, in one way or another.

Thanx, actually wrote that about 6 years ago. Haven't written anything recent except the one I wrote for my cat, think I'm just gonna pick a poem I've written and post it every couple of weeks. :P

Semi-random, but inspired by something I saw at school today between classes, and also more thought out. Unlike the last one, which was inspired by what I was eating and then was randomly typed out.

Bench

An empty bench
old, dry wood
pierced by bolts of steel
holding it...

Plants about it
in many hues
green in shades, blue, brown
color it...

People sat here
words, thoughts, actions
the lingering memories fill it
haunting it...

Sitting in a chair
for way too many hours
causes pain in butt

><

*bows*

/EDIT I should have changed it to:

"Sitting on a bench
for way too many hours
causes pain in butt"

that way it flows with the prior poem =D

These two are very old and to one of my first dogs who has long since past but came to life in my memory when I read this, oh but how sing song I wrote then. The little black dog's name was Magic.

MAGIC
A little bundle of fur so tiny & small
makes me wonder how I love you so much at all
The 4 little pound you hardly weigh
still cause me to love you in such a special way!
Just like my shadow you always follow me
which causes a tremendous feeling, quite uniquely.
You make me so proud to have and to hold,
something so special to call my very own.
You're sincere, your cute and think you're very smart
and you will never realize how you captured my heart.
It didn't take you long to make me fall head over heels
& depend on me for all your free meals.
But that's not really true you see,
cause you have to pay for them by loving me.
& you've proven that you'll pay the price
cause weI've got something going so extra nice.
So my little dog, I want you to know
That I really love you & very much so.

****

Magical, Mystical & Whimsical

Sometimes you're just a little imbasal.
A frisky little critter & yet a sleepy-head too
doing everthing you just want to do.
Needs a little chow, a bunch of loving & a lot of play
you're always happy & look forward to each day.
You like to bo Bye Bye & not be left alone
cause an empty house is just not a home.
Well you keep on being the way you are
& you'll always be my very special star!

These come from when I was housing a tortured soul many years ago.
******
One Song
There is two of me, Oh stranger can't you see?
The inner & the outer, the trapped one & the free.
One seems to be happy & the other sad
One is good & the other bad
The Judge of guilt passes the verdict of Shame
for things felt that don't even have a name.
Maybe the longings for another place
Far, Far from the human race.
Where there isn't any right & wrong
But only One Song.

*****

Why do you try so desparately to convince me of your uncertainties?
Are you not guilty of hiding your feelings, along with the truth?
When your reflection returns from the mirror,
Are you sure you see all - or just what you want?
Are you everything you want to be?
Can you ask the questions, much less answer them?
Can you let me be me & yourself you,............please.

(note: I think I was talking to myself but I can't really remember)

*****and my gosh one to my Dad when I was very young and so very mad at him****

Dad

We differ in so many ways.......how come?

I am the seed you once planted in a weeded womb....I bloom differently.

Haven't you thought of me as the "black sheep"?

Because: Simplicity makes me happy, my simple environment, simple clothes or car and roles.....

Yet my emotions are very fierce, I love hard, feel good & try hard but not always hard enough.

My affection can't be bought! But if it could, I'm not sure you could afford it!

WHY?

Because it calls for honesty and
faith that you did not plant an evil seed.

Ah, being pissed off is fun:

You said the wrong thing,
Yet again you've made me cry.
Now I feel like crap.
Thanks for making me realize,
That you're not worth the tears that fall from my eyes.

A bunch of poetry i recently dug up, written for a poetry unit my freshman year in high school:

AUTUMN

Autumn
Fun and friends
Brown and Orange
Trick-or-treating
The wind whistling through trees
Rain and clouds
Turning me depressed

THE NIGHT

Night
Dark, quiet
Walking, thinking, dreaming
Darkness, shadows, beauty, hidden things
Wakening, brightening, leaving
Bright, alive
Day

UNTITLED

I am a shadow on the wind
I am a swift breeze passing quickly
I am a fleeting moon shadow
I am the owl hunting in the night
I am the wolf stalking his prey
I am the qhisper of a slow-moving creek
I am a faling leaf
I am the sturdy oak
I am the wind howling through the trees
I am the trees bowing to the wind
I am a mouse scurrying to it's hole
I am the stone under the feet of millions
I am the plains rippling before the wind
I am the stars' reflection on a still pool
I am the night sky, witnessing the wolf's lonely howl
I am that howl, reaching for the moon

You see, I am dreaming, I am dreaming
I stand in good relation to myself
I stand in good relations to my friends
I stand in good relation to my family
I stand in good relation with the night
You see, I am dreaming, I am dreaming

WHAT THE BLACK HAD TO SAY
I am dark
Shadows
I hide in the day,
Come out at night
I am the purest of the impure
The impurity in the pure
I am all color -- no light
I am stable, lawful
I can be evil -- or good
I can be kind -- or cruel
But I am quiet
I do not shout
I whisper in the darkness
Of things past,
For I do not change

UNTITLED

Life is a new land,
Full of adventure and excitement.
Strange places, interesting people,
And millions of new things to learn.
But it is also a land of danger
Where harm could be around any corner.
Unknown enemies, fears that could kill
And time is always against you.

That's all that was semi-decent....

Inside

I feel pretty in pajamas,
letting my hair fall loose.
When I have to go outside
it feels like a bit of a noose.

Slightly tousled, just woke up,
got myself plenty of sleep.
What do I want to do today?
I have much time to reap...

I stretch real big and fill my lungs,
and sigh with warm illusion.
Dreams flit away and yet they stay
to add to my confusion.

I know there's a timer on my joy
and nothing lasts forever.
But sometimes I think if I sit real still,
I'm being mighty clever.

"Don't rock the boat!" I tell myself,
"and you won't fall out."
Into that sea of humanity
with a mewling shout.

I see myself in late night ads,
all except "Viagra"...
They peddle to my insecurities
with a friendly "Heya!"

They scream and shout, "Buy me! Buy me!
We can make it right...
We'll fix you up so you don't feel weird,
about everything in sight."

And leave you with a mild case of diarrhea, blurred vision, rashes, trouble breathing, loss of appetite on Wednesdays, weight gain, and death. 9 out of 10 people can't be wrong! (unless they really are and you're all just on a bandwagon...)

some Haiku i wrote on the bus ride home. I wrote it wrong, thinking the pattern was 3-5-3, not 5-7-5, so I'm still fixing them as I go.

The rain is falling
softly on concrete, and
then it is no more

A pebble on a
gravel road does not move;
a child kicks it

Lines of shining light
in the distance beckon
calling out to me

The haiku is a
Japanese form of poem
in five seven five

Deer and skunks ahead
They are crossing the road now
Please drive carefully

The time is passing
leaving us behind, even
as we race past it

Brown hair is sitting
in front of me on the bus
I do not know her

Someone has written
the poems I'm reading
What does he write now?

Never may not be
the right word to be using.
It might be too strong

A guess can often
be much better than giving
no answer at all

Why do I write this
to you? I may never know
the reason for it.

When a tiny ant
is greater than a lion
we may know wisdom

The orange pencil
in my hand is dull, but it
can still write for me.

Spattering accross
the window beside my seat
is the rainwater.

No-one will tell me
when the bus will arrive;
maybe it will not.

Coming soon near you:

Dollar Menu choice!

(I had to record this here for posteri... er posterity. )

There once was a guy named Orlandu.
His friends thought he smelled like big doo doo.
He said, "I digress,
I am quite a mess,
For wiping's the hardest thing to do!"

This has always been one of my favorites and I think it is quite powerful.

The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner
by Randall Jarell

From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from the dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.

MATH CLASS

Symbols and shapes in black and red
swirl past on a whitewashed sea
silent moans battle dorning voices
understanding and not knowing
growing apathetic.

Tired eyes in the false sunlight acheing
staring at the walls of the cave
wishing to leave yet knowing still
to leave is to give up wealth
not even yet owned.

Knowledge washing over the undead
waves and rivers, beams and thunder
cold minds strive to comprehend
meanings and reasons to be
lost and adrift.

Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me!

A large heavy anchor to keep me stable,
In my dreams at the bottom of the sea.
I shall lead this life as long as I'm able!
This truly is the life for me!

The direction of the pull no longer bothers me so.
I follow it simply and go with the flow.
Stuff keeps me anchored so I don't float away.
Moving is easy! (So they all say.)

Shedding myself from material things,
Should make me feel light and give me the wings
To carry me to my next stop in life,
And follow the man who made me his wife.

Swils of shadow and color
Figures dark and sinister
Thoughts emotions hidden desires
Tangible as cold stone men

Night undending, brilliant night
Shining shadows cast by nothing
Hot fingers, knives of pain
Searing through molten skulls

An angry roar as light cuts through
Spearblades striking through the haze
Dreams fade from Mind and Memory
In the new day.

Am I the only one coming up with poems here?
Well, it is spring, and spring is my poetry season. I can never manage to write poetry at any other time of year for some reason... with only one exception, and that is when I get hit hard with the Fall Slump.
Anways, here's the poem. No particular object to it. Just a poem about pretty people. Girls, specifically.

Ah! Before me!
an Apparition
Beauty made Perfect

A silver angel
in flowing White
A being Divine

The golden goddess
Venus! Holy Star!
None can compare

My heart, my soul
Take them, I pray
I am not worthy

I'm hating that last line, I can never come up with good endings for anything. I origionally tried "As payment for this gift" there but it just didn't seem right. Neither does the current ending... Oh well.

I didn't write these... just liked em.

It's Raining in Love
Richard Brautigan

It's Raining in Love
Richard Brautigan
I don't know what it is,
but I distrust myself
when I start to like a girl
a lot.

It makes me nervous.
I don't say the right things
or perhaps I start
to examine,
evaluate
compute
what I am saying.

If I say, "Do you think it's going to rain?â€￾
and she says, "I don't know,â€￾
I start thinking: Does she really like me?

In other words
I get a little creepy.

A friend of mine once said,
"It's twenty times better to be friends
with someone
than it is to be in love with them.â€￾

I think he's right and besides,
it's raining somewhere, programming flowers
and keeping snails happy.
That's all taken care of.

BUT
if a girl likes me a lot
and starts getting real nervous
and suddenly begins asking me funny questions
and looks sad if I give the wrong answers
and she says things like,
"Do you think it's going to rain?â€￾
and I say, "It beats me,â€￾
and she says, "Oh,â€￾
and looks a little sad
at the clear blue California sky,
I think: Thank God, it's you, baby, this time
Instead of me.

(And because I've always been the sidekick...)

Sidekicks
Ronald Koertge *

They were never handsome and often came
with a hormone imbalance manifested by corpulence,
a yodel of a voice or ears big as kidneys.

But each was brave. More than once a sidekick
has thrown himself in front of our hero in order
to receive the bullet or blow meant for that
perfect face and body.

Thankfully, heroes never die in movies and leave
the sidekick alone. He would not stand for it.
Gabby or Pat, Pancho or Andy remind us of a part
of ourselves,

the dependent part that can never grow up,
the part that is painfully eager to please,
always wants a hug and never gets enough.

Who could sit in a darkened theatre, listen
to the organ music and watch the best
of ourselves lowered into the ground while
the rest stood up there, tears pouring off
that enormous nose.

Woo, I can still write poetry! yay for me!

A billion tiny shining stars
Crunching softly 'neath me
Salty bones from ancient wars
Litter the golden land
As far as eyes can see

Beyond the graveyard, glittering
Glowing in the brilliance
Shining light, mind empowering
Stretching beyond the edge
Of the world

Howling winds and a warm ray
Cuting through the cloud
Upon the sea like something fae
White to gold to crimision
Bleeding to the shore.
"When the fuck did we get ice cream?"
