I *rolls dice*

Am also sad to hear about this. I have some of the original first edition books with his name on them, think they'll go up in value? :D
Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen it's true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"...

...and I'll look down, and whisper "no."

So long Gary, and thanks for creating the game that gave me some fun adventures.

Oh damn, I rolled a 20 and I'm still sad. :(

We (Coldfyre, Statutory Crepe, and myself) haven't played in a while, but we will this week, with some new people.

I'll also be bringing a bottle of mead, to toast Gary.

I doubt it. They are classic though.

I have to admit, I've been thinking about Gary Gygax all day. I went to the local gaming shop to buy a new figurine, which I haven't done in a long time, and spent the entire evening somberly starting it's paint job... Is anyone else feeling so very touched by this?

Well since he died as a gamer to the end, I like to think of his death as him leveling up to the Great Beyond. Or The Matrix. Or Oblivion. Or dinging to something beyond our comprehension. He's a kindred spirit as far as I'm concerned and his legacy will always be with us.
